Voice teacher and Yoga instructor will return to CLC to offer a two-part workshop!

Part I, 3pm – INTRO TO BREATH-BODY-SOUND
Come and explore what your voice can do. From beginning singers to seasoned choristers, we can all continue to improve our vocal quality and sound production through a better understanding of how the whole body is involved in producing sound.

Part II, 4pm – YOGA FOR SINGERS
For those looking for a more in-depth movement experience, bring your yoga mats, comfortable clothes, and come find out how yoga can support good vocal technique. This portion of the workshop is open to any who are interested. It will be a gentle yoga class, and mats will be provided for those that don’t have their own.

Dr. Miskie is the founder of ‘Breath•Body•Sound•Studio’ in Annapolis, MD, where she offers individual and group voice lessons as well as individual piano lessons. As an avid yoga practitioner, Miskie integrates components of breath awareness and physical alignment (derived from traditional Hatha yoga) into her vocal lessons, studio classes and workshops. To further this understanding for the benefit of her students, Miskie recently completed a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga teacher training program in Washington DC at Kali Yoga Studio with studio owner / lead instructor Abby Dobbs. Miskie is continuing her study and practice of classical Ashtanga yoga with Level 2 Certified Instructor Michael Joel Hall in Washington, DC. https://www.madelinemiskie.com/bio/
