Please drop off gently used goods on Saturday, June 22nd at Christ Lutheran Church (CLC) on 16th Street at Gallatin. These goods will be sold at a mega yard sale on the last weekend in September. Across the last 39 years, the CLC yard sale has raised over $870,000 for charitable organizations in the DC Metro area and around the globe, provided families with goods at a deep discount, and helped recycle goods rather than sending them to landfills. Lately, the yard sale has raised approximately $25,000 per year—every cent of which has gone to organizations that focus on social justice issues such as housing for the homeless and support for victims of domestic violence. But first, we need your help in creating inventory for this year’s sale—the 40th Annual! Please drop off your items at the parking lot at the back of the church off the alley between Hamilton and Gallatin. We’ll have people there to help you unload your things. We can also arrange a limited number of pick-ups from homes in the neighborhood.
