“BELONGING IN THE WILDERNESS”: WEDNESDAY LENTEN EVENINGS, February 21, 28, March 7, 14 & 21, beginning with soup & study at 7:00 p.m., followed by worship in the Wenchel Chapel, 8-8:30 p.m.

Brené Brown’s book, BRAVING THE WILDERNESS: THE QUEST FOR TRUE BELONGING AND THE COURAGE TO STAND ALONE, is the basis for our study and conversation. “Brown redefines our understanding of what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarization shaped by fear and divisive ideological and political rhetoric.” Lent is a time when we remember Jesus’ 40 days and the Israelites’ 40 years there. It was a difficult time that was also one of learning how to be God’s people. We will explore the moment we are living in and what it looks like to love actively in this time.
