On Sunday, March 1 at 12 noon, Cheryl Beversdorf, producer and Host of AGING MATTERS, will talk about her tv and radio program.

LET ME TELL YOU WHAT IT’S REALLY LIKE is a frank conversation on living with mental illness (in general) and bipolar disorder (in particular), both for the person diagnosed and those in his or her life. Based on a series of interviews, the intention of the work is to honestly present a broad range of experiences for those who are living with an emotional and mental disability. We hope it will lead to greater understanding for everyone who has to deal with all forms of this illness and strengthen the support of a compassionate community.

Using the engaging booklet, “Baptized We Live: Lutheranism as a Way of Life” by Daniel Erlander, we will explore the Lutheran angle on what it means to be a Christian. Sessions will be held on Sundays, February 2 and 9.

On Saturday, February 8 from 9AM – 11AM , Christ Lutheran will hold a workshop that explores ways to celebrate the arts and creativity through the church year.

See and hear the story of Jesusʼ birth and the coming of the wise men as told by the children of our community. If you have a child who would like to participate, practice will be held on Saturday, January 4 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm. Any child can dress in costume and have a walk on role on Sunday morning. Just come at 9:30 am to get into costume, center a bit and sing through the songs before worship starts at 10:30 am.

On January 13, 2020, the Women’s Book Group will be discussing THE COLOR OF LAW: A FORGOTTEN HISTORY OF HOW OUR GOVERNMENT SEGREGATED AMERICA by Richard Rothstein. The group will meet at a member’s home close to Christ Lutheran at 7pm. Please email Jacki at jackibanks@gmail.com for details.
