Reformation Lutheran on Capitol Hill (212 E Capitol Street, NE) is hosting a breakfast and prayer service on the morning of the Women’s March on Washington that all Lutherans (and friends) are invited to attend. If you are planning to attend the March, please consider meeting other members of Christ Lutheran Church at Reformation Lutheran for a time to gather and center ourselves in unity with others. The service begins at 8am and all gathered will proceed to the meeting location for the March afterwards. More information can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1395240383833260/. The closest Metro station to Reformation is Union Station.
After the March, Luther Place Memorial Church (1226 Vermont Ave., NW) will be opening their doors for music and hospitality. The closest Metro station is McPherson Square.
If you are coming in from Maryland or need parking/metro access, Dan Seligman has graciously offered his apartment (just steps away from the Takoma Metro station with ample street parking) as a meeting place. Please plan to arrive by 7am to gather for a 7:15am departure from the Takoma station. Dan’s address is 7035 Blair Rd, NW, Apt. 225, Washington, DC 20012. Street parking can usually be found on Cedar and Dahlia Streets, which run perpendicular to Blair Rd. When you arrive, call Dan (202-365-1219) to gain entrance to the building. Please talk with Dan or Vicar Katherine if you have any questions. You can learn more about the Women’s March on Washington by clicking on this link: https://www.womensmarch.com.
