Treasurer’s Update

And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.”

—2 Corinthians 9:8

The end of June marked the end of Christ Lutheran’s 2020 Fiscal Year. And what a remarkable year it has been! We began the year projecting a $50,000 budget deficit. To close this gap, we launched a Stewardship Appeal in the Fall and had a tremendously generous response from members. Thanks to your steady and strong support of our ministry, we not only weathered the unprecedented challenge and economic uncertainty presented by COVID-19, we significantly reduced our planned deficit. While we ended the year with a $15,000 deficit, that was $35,000 better than originally planned. Thank you all for your offerings! In large measure due to your increased giving we were able to begin our new 2021 Fiscal Year on July 1st with a nicely balanced Mission Spending Plan for the coming year.
