Grateful for the abundant giving of our congregation, we are sharing our FY2020 surplus to meet the needs of our neighbors. From April 18 through May 23, those active in Christ Lutheran Church designated $200 from our church surplus to meet needs in our community–a joyful opportunity to share our abundance as a faith community with no walls.
We shared funds with individuals in need and 48 organizations that feed the hungry, care for creation, offer healing and hope, act for racial justice and equity, provide educational opportunities, and support our LGBTQIA+ siblings. While this effort allowed us to share our treasure with others, it is also inspiring us to share our time with the many organizations that were lifted up by our community.
